Yoga Therapy And Somatic Experiencing

Yoga

Yoga Nidra Integrative Restoration®

Yoga Nidra is a form of meditative self-inquiry from the teachings of yoga. We welcome whatever is arising in the moment. We learn to track the movement of attention and the coming and going of physical sensations, breath, feelings, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, mental concepts, etc Benefits may include: deep relaxation throughout the body and mind, heightened ability to manage stress, overcoming insomnia, resolve trauma, shift negative conditioning and/or addictive tendencies and overcome anxiety and fear. Yoga Nidra guides us into a deep meditative state which reveals our true nature. See www.irest.us for more information.

Chakra Therapy

The chakras are energy centers in the body that receive energy from the universe, store it and distribute it to specific parts of the body-mind. The chakra system is constantly changing in response to the stresses of life. Good health requires the free flow of prana (life force) and the proper balance of all seven chakras. The 7 chakras are a psychological, philosophical and spiritual framework for human development. They are a roadmap for our life journey as we evolve from basic, physical needs (food, shelter, safety etc.) toward more subtle and spiritual aspirations. Be prepared to deepen your awareness of how the mind affects the body and how the body affects the mind

Somatic Experiencing Sessions®

Somatic Experiencing® is a naturalistic form of resolving trauma symptoms and relieving chronic stress in your body. Very often this process helps people return to a sense of regulation and mastery of their lives. SE® will support you in learning how to attend to uncomfortable sensations in your body and gently unwind them through your conscious attention. SE® is particularly useful in managing stress because so many of the symptoms are physiological. See www.traumahealing.com for more information.
